Little Palms Preschool

A school teacher from Egypt approached us to create a brand for her dream project, a pre-school. A second home for the kids where they can grow and flourish and be ready for the world. The children learn through hands on experience and play in a safe indoor and outdoor environment.

Brief was very simple. An identity for a preschool called Little Palms using elements like hand prints, palm trees, kids to create simple and witty designs. Use of subtle yet cheerful colours. The preschool would mainly cater to young, working, caring parents (especially moms) that live in the area and are searching for the best environment for their kids growth. Through the designs they want to convey that the children are in good hands and in a trust-worthy environment. We decided to design a pre-school logo that would stand for something more than just being an educational establishment. We wanted to talk about how every child is different and unique and to celebrate their individuality. The intention was to make it look attractive for the kids and yet appeal the parent’s sensibility. We also had to make sure it communicates a sense of comfort and trust to the parents.

We came up with different forms, shapes and colours of palm trees showcasing how every child is unique and different. Adding features like eyes, mouth, hands and legs gave it a personality and made it look more relatable for kids.
