Creating A visual identity
Experience America, an organisation aimed to transform student travel and elevate the study tour experiences, approached us to help create the branding for their student programme- Project Fashion. Project Fashion is a carefully woven summer camp by the organisation in partnership with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, California. A camp dedicated to today’s youth, it was launched after noticing the lack of sophisticated camps tailored for students interested in fashion and design. This camp was thus, designed to help students around the world to come together and learn the basics of the ever changing fashion industry.
The logo and the overall branding of this programme was conceptualised by focusing on the most basic elements of fashion
design- a needle, thread and buttons. In the logo, we tried incorporating the bold thread along with its curves, to form the letter ‘F’ representing fashion and the boldness required to excel in the fashion design sector.
The final logo in the coral shade and the overall branding colour palette in cute pastel colours was created keeping the target audience of the camp in mind. Such colours are elegant and call out to the young creative teenagers who wants to pursue a career in this forever changing world of fashion industry and experience LA and its iconic culture.
We also helped create an overall look for their website to compliment their branding. For the website, we used thick black outline illustration style to match and fuse with the overall look and feel of the website.
